Job Title: Site Engineer
Location: East of Scotland (West Lothian to Tranent) – EH Postcode Preferred
Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 (DOE) + Company Vehicle


The Role

An established civil engineering contractor is seeking a motivated and capable Site Engineer to support the delivery of residential infrastructure projects across the East of Scotland. Current sites are located between West Lothian and Tranent, so candidates should ideally be based within an EH postcode to ensure practical site coverage.

The role will involve overseeing engineering activities across multiple live residential developments, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in line with programme requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out and surveying works using Trimble equipment

  • Managing engineering requirements across multiple sites

  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications

  • Liaising with Site Managers, subcontractors and commercial teams

  • Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information

  • Supporting quality control and health & safety compliance

  • Assisting with programme coordination and technical problem-solving


Candidate Requirements

  • Approximately 3–4 years’ experience as a Site Engineer

  • Background in residential infrastructure or groundworks preferred

  • Proficient in Trimble setting out equipment

  • Comfortable working across multiple sites

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Full UK driving licence


Package

  • £36,000 – £48,000 salary (commensurate with experience)
