Overview
A leading, privately owned construction and infrastructure contractor is seeking a Regional Planning Manager to lead and develop the planning function across its Central Belt operations.
This is a key strategic role, offering the opportunity to shape planning standards, influence major project delivery, and support both pre-construction and live operations across a strong pipeline of work.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of regional planning strategy, working closely with senior leadership to drive consistency, improve programme performance, and support successful project delivery from bid through to completion.
This role offers significant visibility and the chance to make a real impact across multiple high-value projects across the Central Belt.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the regional planning function, setting standards and driving best practice
- Support bid teams with programme development, risk analysis, and tender strategy
- Oversee planning across live projects, ensuring programme compliance and performance
- Provide strategic input on programme risk, sequencing, and delivery approach
- Audit project programmes and report on performance to senior leadership
- Support delay analysis and recovery planning where required
- Manage the transition of programme data from pre-construction to delivery
- Drive improvements in planning tools, systems, and reporting
What We’re Looking For
- Experience leading or managing a planning function within a construction environment
- Strong background in pre-construction and project delivery planning
- Excellent understanding of construction sequencing, methodology, and programme management
- Good knowledge of contracts, commercial processes, and risk
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational level
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
