Civil Engineering Contractor – Water & Infrastructure Projects | Scotland (Central Belt / Various Sites)
Overview
A well-established civil engineering contractor delivering water and infrastructure projects across Scotland is seeking a Site Engineer to support the successful delivery of multiple projects across the Central Belt.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to work on essential infrastructure works within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out setting out and surveying in accordance with project drawings and specifications
- Interpret technical drawings and ensure accurate execution of works on site
- Manage and maintain quality assurance (QA) documentation, including ITPs and as-built records
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including RAMS and site procedures
- Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and operatives to coordinate daily activities
- Assist with site supervision and ensure works are delivered in line with programme requirements
- Monitor progress and report on any technical or site issues
- Support material checks and ensure all works meet required standards and specifications
Requirements
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of setting out, drainage, and groundwork operations
- Experience working on water or utility projects (desirable)
- Proficient in AutoCAD and surveying equipment (e.g. Trimble or Leica)
- Good understanding of QA processes and health & safety regulations
- Full UK Driving Licence
