Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic and inclusive team. Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer, you will:

• Develop, review, and refine detailed MEP Electrical Design solutions in compliance with UK Engineering Design standards.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical engineers, architects, project managers, and contractors) to ensure project success.
• Perform technical calculations for electrical systems including load calculations, voltage drop, and short-circuit analysis.
• Design electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and energy-efficient solutions.
• Provide technical support and expertise in interpreting and establishing design standards, specifications, and regulations.
• Prepare and present design documentation including schematics, drawings, and reports using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent software.
• Participate in project planning and conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensuring compliance with safety, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with clients to meet their needs while promoting sustainable and energy-efficient design methods.
• Stay informed of emerging technologies, trends, and innovations within the engineering sector to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in MEP Electrical Design and a strong understanding of UK Engineering Design standards.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to produce innovative design solutions.
• Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations in the UK.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet tight deadlines.
• Commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace.

Desirable:

• Professional accreditation (e.g., EngTech, Chartered Engineer status, or equivalent).
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
• Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient building practices.

Day-to-Day

Your day-to-day may involve the following activities:

• Participating in design meetings to define project goals, scope, and technical needs.
• Developing and optimizing intricate electrical designs to improve system efficiency and meet project specifications.
• Coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality designs.
• Conducting site visits to assess technical requirements, monitor installations, and troubleshoot challenges.
• Preparing technical reports and presentations for clients and management.
• Researching and applying the latest technologies and methodologies to enhance system performance and support sustainability goals.
