Civil Engineering Contractor – Multi-Sector Infrastructure Projects | Scotland (Various Sites)

Overview

A well-established civil engineering contractor delivering multi-sector infrastructure projects across Scotland is seeking a Site Engineer to support works across a range of sites.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor with a diverse project portfolio, offering exposure to infrastructure, industrial, and large-scale civil engineering schemes, with the opportunity to work across different locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out and surveying in accordance with project drawings and specifications
• Interpret technical drawings and ensure accurate execution of works on site
• Manage and maintain quality assurance (QA) documentation, including ITPs and as-built records
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including RAMS and site procedures
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and operatives to coordinate daily activities
• Monitor progress and report on any technical or site issues
• Assist with site supervision to ensure works are delivered in line with programme requirements
• Support material checks and ensure all works meet required standards and specifications
• Work across multiple project sites, including potential working away periods

Requirements

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of setting out, drainage, and groundwork operations
• Experience working across varied civil engineering projects (desirable)
• Proficient in AutoCAD and surveying equipment (e.g. Trimble or Leica)
• Good understanding of QA processes and health & safety regulations
• Flexible approach to travel and working away
• Full UK Driving Licence
