Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a contractor specialising in marine services, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects across Dunbartonshire and Renfrewshire. This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, including harbour works, jetty construction, dredging support, coastal civil engineering, and associated infrastructure, supporting projects from initial planning to final account.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of marine and civil engineering projects from inception to completion.

Prepare and submit interim valuations, cost reports, and final accounts.

Administer NEC and other standard contracts, including variations, claims, and change management.

Monitor project expenditure and prepare accurate cost forecasts.

Support estimating and tendering activities, including cost planning, subcontractor procurement, and bid preparation.

Liaise with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure clear communication and financial reporting.

Assess and negotiate subcontractor payments and variations.

Produce detailed commercial reports and ensure compliance with internal and client governance standards.
Requirements:

Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

Proven experience in marine services, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.

Excellent commercial awareness with strong analytical and reporting skills.

Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software.

Estimating experience would be advantageous.
