Civil Engineer/Technician

We are working with a well-established engineering consultancy in Glasgow to recruit a Civil Engineer / Technician to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a collaborative office environment, contributing to a diverse range of civil engineering projects across the region.

The Role
You will support the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, working closely with senior engineers and technicians. The role offers exposure to multiple aspects of project work, making it ideal for someone looking to develop their technical skills and broaden their experience within a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of civil engineering schemes
  • Produce drawings, models, and technical documentation
  • Support the preparation of reports, calculations, and specifications
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and other disciplines
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations
  • Contribute to project delivery within agreed timelines

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a civil engineering or technician role (consultancy experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
  • Understanding of civil engineering principles (e.g. drainage, roads, infrastructure)
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant qualification (HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent experience)
