The Opportunity

On behalf of our client, a well-established and design-focused engineering consultancy based in Glasgow, we are seeking a Structural Engineer with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer who wants to work on technically interesting, high-quality building projects — and play a role in shaping Glasgow’s evolving skyline.

  • Commercial developments

  • Residential schemes

  • Refurbishment and adaptive reuse projects

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver structural design calculations, reports, and specifications

  • Work across steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures

  • Liaise directly with architects, contractors, and project teams

  • Attend client meetings and site inspections

  • Contribute to technically challenging and design-led projects

This is a hands-on design role offering strong exposure to complex and high-profile schemes.


Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ post-graduate experience in structural engineering

  • Experience working on UK building structures projects

  • Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards

  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software

  • Working towards Chartership (ICE or IStructE) preferred

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
