Overview

We are seeking a Geoevironmental Engineer to join a growing consultancy team based in Glasgow. This is a hybrid role offering a mix of office, site, and remote working. The successful candidate will support the delivery of contaminated land and environmental assessment projects across a range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake Phase 1 Desk Studies including site history reviews and preliminary risk assessments
• Support and deliver contaminated land assessments in line with current UK guidance
• Assist with and interpret site investigation data
• Prepare technical reports and risk assessments
• Contribute to remediation strategies and remediation studies
• Liaise with clients, regulators, and internal project teams
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Requirements

• Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
• Experience in contaminated land assessment and reporting
• Familiarity with Phase 1 Desk Studies and risk assessment processes
• Understanding of UK environmental regulations and guidance
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines

Security Clearance

• Candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo a security check as part of the role

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Phase 1 Site Investigations
• Knowledge of remediation techniques and verification
• Full UK driving licence
