Geoenvironmental Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a Geoevironmental Engineer to join a growing consultancy team based in Glasgow. This is a hybrid role offering a mix of office, site, and remote working. The successful candidate will support the delivery of contaminated land and environmental assessment projects across a range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Phase 1 Desk Studies including site history reviews and preliminary risk assessments
- Support and deliver contaminated land assessments in line with current UK guidance
- Assist with and interpret site investigation data
- Prepare technical reports and risk assessments
- Contribute to remediation strategies and remediation studies
- Liaise with clients, regulators, and internal project teams
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Requirements
- Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
- Experience in contaminated land assessment and reporting
- Familiarity with Phase 1 Desk Studies and risk assessment processes
- Understanding of UK environmental regulations and guidance
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
Security Clearance
- Candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo a security check as part of the role
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Phase 1 Site Investigations
- Knowledge of remediation techniques and verification
- Full UK driving licence
