The Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established and growing prinicple contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is a newly created position driven by an increase in secured workload, offering the opportunity to step into a busy, fast-paced environment with a strong pipeline of projects across the public and commercial sectors.

About the Company

This contractor delivers a diverse range of refurbishment and fit-out projects across Scotland, with a strong focus on public sector frameworks, particularly within healthcare.

The business benefits from a high level of repeat work and long-standing client relationships, providing excellent stability and continuity.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of multiple projects simultaneously (typically around four at any one time).

Key responsibilities include:

Managing project costs from inception through to final account
Preparing valuations, variations, and cost reports
Subcontractor procurement and account management
Ensuring projects are delivered within budget
Working across a variety of contract forms including SBCC and NEC

What We’re Looking For


Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment
Ability to manage multiple live projects in a fast-paced setting
Experience in refurbishment and/or fit-out projects is advantageous
Working knowledge of SBCC contracts (NEC experience beneficial)
Strong communication and commercial management skills
