Senior Quantity Surveyor – Refurbishment & Specialist Projects
Central Scotland
Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a role within a growing main contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work? We are working with an established, nationwide contractor delivering refurbishment and specialist projects across multiple sectors, with consistent growth and a strong presence in Scotland.
Their Scotland region is a key part of the business, delivering a wide range of works across the Central Belt. Due to recent changes within the team, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing and upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of projects from pre-contract through to final account
- Cost planning, forecasting, and budget control
- Procurement and subcontractor management
- Administration of NEC and JCT contracts
- Change control, valuations, and commercial reporting
- Risk and opportunity management
- Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to a high standard
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team
Project Scope
You will be involved in a diverse range of works, including:
- Refurbishment projects
- Roofing and external works
- Technical and specialist refurbishment
Projects are delivered across the Central Belt, with sites spanning key locations and some travel required.
About You
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
- Experience across refurbishment, maintenance, or specialist works
- Strong working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Professional membership (RICS or similar) is desirable but not essential
- Demonstrable experience in a Senior QS or similar role
