The Role

An established main contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial lead on key projects within their growing portfolio.

This is a predominantly office-based role, offering responsibility across multiple schemes and the opportunity to play a key role in project delivery and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction to final account
• Leading subcontractor procurement and commercial management
• Cost planning, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Managing valuations, variations, and contractual matters
• Identifying and managing commercial risks
• Liaising with clients and senior stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or an experienced QS ready to step up
• Strong background working for a main contractor
• Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes
• Ability to manage projects independently
• Strong leadership and communication skills
