Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our diverse and collaborative team. In this role, you will lead and contribute to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering design projects, with a strong emphasis on mechanical and electrical design in the UK region. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams on innovative projects, ensuring the delivery of efficient, sustainable, and cutting-edge solutions. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design, analysis, and delivery of advanced MEP engineering projects.
- Develop high-quality mechanical and electrical engineering designs that meet both client specifications and regulatory standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and system evaluations to support project planning.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their technical development.
- Use cutting-edge software tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant programs, to produce detailed schematics, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct energy modeling, thermal analysis, and system optimization.
- Ensure compliance with UK building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity and innovation, creating an environment that values diversity of thought and perspective.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in UK engineering design, specializing in MEP, electrical design, and mechanical design.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and associated analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering energy-efficient and sustainable engineering solutions.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it.
- Familiarity with renewable energy systems and sustainable building practices.
- Experience leading projects in various sectors, including commercial, residential, and industrial.

Day-to-Day
- Conduct team meetings to align project goals and progress.
- Develop detailed designs and collaborate on system integration across disciplines.
- Review and approve technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with clients and key stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver updates.
- Lead design reviews and provide guidance to junior team members.
- Perform on-site inspections to monitor project progress and resolve any design challenges.
- Research new technologies and methodologies to advance the quality and sustainability of designs.
