Electrical Project Manager

Leading Engineering & Construction Specialist

The Role

A leading engineering and construction specialist is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the delivery of electrical packages on a major data centre project in East London area. 

This is a long-term opportunity on a large-scale, highly technical scheme running through to the middle of 2027 with potential for further phases thereafter. The role offers the chance to work on complex, high-value projects within a high-performing and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the delivery of electrical packages from construction through to handover
  • Ensure timely completion of commissioning, safety documentation, and project close-out
  • Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and coordination with design and planning teams
  • Maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards
  • Drive productivity, quality, and innovation across all stages of the project
  • Implement and manage engineering systems, documentation, and controls

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or relevant technical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 4)
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale MEP packages within complex construction environments
  • Previous experience on highly regulated or mission-critical projects
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction methodologies
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate across multiple disciplines
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
