Role Purpose

The Infrastructure Engineering Delivery & Project Coordination Agent supports the planning, coordination, and operational delivery of engineering and infrastructure projects across rail, highways, utilities, defence, industrial, and environmental sectors. The role acts as a specialist support function to project managers, site teams, engineering leads, and operational stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, efficient, and high-quality project execution.

The agent is responsible for improving project visibility, tracking operational performance, supporting documentation workflows, monitoring compliance requirements, and helping coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across live project environments.


Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Support end-to-end coordination of infrastructure and engineering projects on live operational sites.
  • Track project milestones, programme updates, and operational deliverables.
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, schedules, and progress trackers.
  • Assist in managing communication between engineering, fabrication, access, coatings, civils, and environmental teams.
  • Escalate delivery risks, delays, or compliance concerns proactively.

Engineering & Operational Support

  • Assist engineering teams with planning and workflow management for:
    • Structural strengthening
    • Bridge refurbishment
    • Protective coatings
    • Fabrication and installation
    • Scaffolding and access solutions
    • Industrial maintenance services
  • Support resource allocation and operational scheduling across multiple project sites.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and specialist engineering services on-site.
  • Attend operational meetings, toolbox talks, and project briefings as required.

Compliance & Safety Monitoring

  • Ensure project activities align with:
    • Health & Safety requirements
    • Rail and infrastructure standards
    • Environmental regulations
    • Quality assurance procedures
  • Monitor permits, inspections, RAMS, and certification workflows.
  • Assist with audit preparation and compliance reporting.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and operational excellence across all site activities.

Reporting & Data Management

  • Produce weekly operational reports and KPI dashboards.
  • Monitor productivity, delivery timelines, and commercial progress.
  • Maintain accurate site records for engineering and construction activities.
  • Support project forecasting, procurement tracking, and issue management.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Coordinate communication between site teams, clients, project managers, and operational leadership.
  • Support client reporting and project update preparation.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary operational teams.

Preferred Background

Essential

  • Experience supporting infrastructure, construction, engineering, rail, highways, or industrial projects.
  • Previous experience working in site-based or operational project environments.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
  • Understanding of engineering or construction project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with project tracking and reporting tools.

Desirable

  • Experience within rail or major infrastructure sectors.
  • Familiarity with principal contractor or engineering contractor environments.
  • Knowledge of scaffolding, fabrication, structural repairs, or industrial services.
  • Understanding of HSEQ processes and engineering compliance frameworks.
  • Relevant site certifications or safety training.
