ABOUT THE ROLE
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded civil engineering firm for a Project Manager to join their growing Land Development team in Dallas, TX. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently operating as an Assistant Project Manager who is ready to take the next step into full project ownership. You will manage a team of around three EIT staff, oversee multiple land development projects end-to-end, and play a key role in growing the team. This role offers real leadership, career progression, and the autonomy to make an impact from day one.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Lead and manage all phases of land development projects including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Manage and mentor a team of approximately 3 EIT staff, with a focus on team growth and development
- Oversee project timelines and ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget
- Facilitate inspections, coordinate with logistics teams and expeditors, and maintain quality control
- Design project components using Civil 3D and relevant engineering software
- Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and engineering documentation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal design teams
- Coordinate with city agencies and manage permitting and municipal processes
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on private land development projects
- Professional Engineering (PE) licence preferred, multi-state registration a plus
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and multi-project workloads simultaneously
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and relevant engineering and office software
- Experience leading or supervising technical staff
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Thorough understanding of project accounting principles
