## Responsibilities  
As an Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will be instrumental in engineering, designing, and implementing mechanical systems within our projects. Your key tasks will include:

- Developing and delivering high-quality MEP designs for diverse projects in compliance with UK regulations and standards.  
- Specifying and designing mechanical building systems, such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing systems.
- Collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize designs.  
- Utilizing software tools like **Revit MEP** to create and maintain detailed design models and documentation.  
- Performing mechanical and electrical load calculations, system assessments, and feasibility studies.  
- Actively contributing to the development of sustainable and energy-efficient building performance solutions.
- Reviewing project designs and providing quality assurance through adherence to company standards and industry best practices.  
- Mentoring junior engineers in mechanical design and supporting professional development within the team.  
- Staying updated with the latest engineering trends, technologies, and innovations within the industry.

## Qualifications  

### Essential:  
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.  
- Proven experience in UK Engineering Design with a focus on MEP services.  
- Proficiency in **Revit MEP** and other engineering design software.  
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design principles, with the ability to apply these to real-world scenarios.  
- Familiarity with UK building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.  
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.  
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.  

### Desirable:  
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it.  
- Experience working on sustainable building projects, such as BREEAM or LEED certifications.  
- Previous mentorship or leadership experience.

## Day-to-Day  
A day in the life of an Associate Mechanical Engineer may include:  
- Collaborating with team members in design discussions to deliver innovative engineering solutions.  
- Drafting and refining building system designs using industry-standard software like Revit MEP.  
- Analyzing the potential environmental impact of proposed designs and integrating sustainable design strategies.  
- Participating in client and team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and deliverables.  
- Conducting site visits to evaluate system installations and provide technical support during construction phases.  
- Reviewing and updating project documentation to ensure compliance with evolving project specifications and legal requirements.  
- Mentoring junior engineers through one-on-one support sessions and team workshops.
