Quantity Surveyor – Civils / Concrete Repair & Structural Strengthening
Location: London

An award-winning specialist engineering and construction business is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in London. The business is a global leader in post-tensioning, structural strengthening and concrete remediation, delivering design, engineering and installation in-house on major projects across the UK, Europe, Australia and the Middle East — having recently been acquired as part of a global engineering group, significantly increasing scale and long-term investment in the business.
The Role
- Quantity Surveyor role covering civils and structural repair/strengthening projects, with a particular focus on concrete remediation, post-tensioning and CFRP strengthening works
- Based in Central London, working on high-profile commercial, residential, retail and infrastructure projects
- Joining a specialist, engineer-led business recognised as an industry leader in its field
- Working closely with design engineers, project and site teams on a mix of new-build and remedial/repair contracts

Requirements
- Proven Quantity Surveying experience within civils, ideally with exposure to concrete repair, strengthening or post-tensioning projects
- Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial management
- Working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contract forms
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and final accounts
- Strong cost reporting, forecasting and CVR (cost value reconciliation) experience
- Confident liaising directly with clients, main contractors and site teams
- Sound understanding of measurement and estimating for civils/structural works
- Relevant industry qualifications/chartership (RICS or ICE) preferred, though not essential
- Full UK driving licence (site visits may be required)
- Strong communication, negotiation and commercial awareness skills
