The Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project costs from inception to completion, ensuring financial efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement & Contracts: Manage suppliers, plant, subcontractor procurement, prepare subcontractor orders and negotiate contracts.
• Financial Reporting: Monitor project expenditures, prepare valuations, and ensure timely client invoicing.
• Risk & Compliance: Assess financial risks, ensure adherence to contractual obligations, and manage variations or disputes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with estimators, project managers, QS, design teams, and site teams to ensure financial control and project success. (Internal and external stakeholders)
• Final Accounts: Manage final account settlements, cost reconciliation, and project financial closeout.

Requirements

Experience: 3+ years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in building envelopes but not essential.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost control software, contract administration (JCT/NEC), and financial reporting.  The business uses Construct by Eque2 and experience with this system would be beneficial although not required.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of façade materials, installation processes, and construction techniques.
Communication & Negotiation: Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in financial and contractual documentation.
