Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will contribute to innovative engineering solutions for diverse projects in the fields of Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing (MEP) design. Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement mechanical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers, across various projects.
• Develop detailed designs and specifications for MEP systems in compliance with UK engineering and building standards.
• Use Revit MEP software to create and modify designs that adhere to project requirements, deadlines, and budgets.
• Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical analyses to ensure optimal mechanical system functionality and efficiency.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, ensuring that installations meet design specifications.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to communicate design concepts and address any project-specific concerns.
• Support sustainable design initiatives by integrating energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions into projects.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and practices in mechanical engineering and MEP design to maintain professional relevance and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in UK Engineering Design with a strong focus on MEP systems.
• Proficient in Revit MEP, as well as other relevant design software tools.
• Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical principles in relation to building systems.
• Knowledge of applicable UK regulations, standards, and best practices for engineering design and construction.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CEng, MCIBSE) are a plus.

Day-to-Day

• Attend design meetings with interdisciplinary teams to develop cohesive project plans.
• Create and refine mechanical and MEP system designs in Revit MEP while maintaining adherence to project timelines.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
• Monitor and troubleshoot design challenges, offering effective solutions when issues arise.
• Prepare progress reports, drawings, and other documentation for internal teams and clients.
• Conduct energy and cost analysis to recommend efficient design approaches tailored to each project.
• Foster knowledge sharing within the organization by mentoring junior engineers and participating in training initiatives.
• Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all interactions, fostering a positive and respectful workplace.
