Construction Planner

Refurbishment & Fit-Out Contractor | Central Scotland

We are looking for an experienced Construction Planner to join our growing refurbishment and fit-out business in Central Scotland.

The role will involve developing, managing and monitoring construction programmes across a range of commercial refurbishment and fit-out projects, working closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, site teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes using Microsoft Project.
  • Working on projects up to £8 million across the public and private sector. 
  • Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays and risks.
  • Produce short-term and look-ahead programmes.
  • Coordinate programme information with project teams and subcontractors.
  • Provide regular programme updates and reporting to management.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Construction Planner within the construction industry.
  • Site or Project Managers considering moving into a Planning role will also be considered. 
  • Experience in refurbishment, fit-out or commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • Good understanding of construction sequencing and buildability.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and alongside project delivery teams.
