Role Overview:
They are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join their experienced team. This senior, leadership-focused role involves overseeing structural design projects across commercial and residential developments, mentoring engineers, and contributing to strategic business growth. Flexible working arrangements are available to support work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee structural design and analysis for complex commercial and residential building projects.

  • Review and approve detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications in line with current building regulations and industry standards.

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, MEP engineers, and contractors.

  • Mentor and guide senior and junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

  • Take a key role in business development, client relationships, and strategic planning.

  • Ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality, on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Structural Engineer with extensive experience in building structures.

  • Proven track record of leading commercial and residential projects.

  • Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Robot, Revit, Tekla, or similar).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions.

  • Ambition to contribute to the growth and direction of the practice.
