Responsibilities
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the mechanical engineering aspects of MEP projects with a focus on designing and delivering sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.
- Preparing detailed designs, specifications, and reports for building services systems while adhering to UK regulations and standards.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and project managers, to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Performing detailed analysis and calculations for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Providing leadership and mentoring junior engineers, fostering team development and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIBSE, IMechE).
- Extensive experience in mechanical engineering design within the context of UK MEP projects.
- Strong proficiency in relevant design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, IES VE).
- Knowledge of UK building regulations, industry standards, and sustainable building practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment that values diversity and inclusion.
Day-to-Day
A typical day in the life of a Senior Mechanical Engineer will include:
