Project Manager – Civil Engineering | Inverness, Scotland
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager (Civils) to join a well-established UK contractor delivering major infrastructure and civil engineering projects across Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity to take the lead on high-value schemes and play a key role in delivering complex projects within a busy and growing regional team.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will lead projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring delivery is safe, on programme and within budget. Typical project values range from £10m – £150m, working closely with clients, designers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
You will be responsible for overall project performance and ensuring all works are delivered in line with company and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities

Managing programme, cost, quality and safety performance

Leading project delivery in accordance with SHEQ procedures

Coordinating design and managing temporary works

Implementing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation

Contract administration and management of variations under NEC contracts

Chairing progress meetings with clients and subcontractors
-
Monitoring risk, programme performance and reporting to senior management

Supporting pre-construction planning and value engineering activities
What We’re Looking For

Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)

Proven experience delivering medium to large civil engineering projects

Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts

Good understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation

Full UK driving licence

Professional membership (ICE / CIOB) desirable

Experience in marine, flood defence or heavy civils projects advantageous

Salary: £70,000+ (dependent on experience)
