Job Title: Site Engineer  – Civil Engineering
Location: North Lanarkshire, Scotland

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer to join a leading infrastructure and civil engineering team in Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of rail and civil engineering projects, gaining exposure to high-profile station upgrades and associated infrastructure works.

About the Role
In this hands-on role, you will oversee and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. You will work closely with project management, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve challenges and drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities.

• Interpret and implement technical drawings, specifications, and design plans.

• Ensure projects are delivered according to timelines and design requirements.

• Maintain site safety, environmental, and quality compliance.

• Conduct site setting out, surveying, and measurement checks.

• Manage subcontractors and support junior engineers on-site.

• Keep accurate records, including daily diaries and progress reports.

• Order materials and manage site logistics.

• Assist with site planning, risk assessments, and inspection/test plans.

• Tunnels and flood alleviation works

• Rail platforms and station infrastructure

• Power network infrastructure

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer within civil engineering projects

• Strong knowledge of site setting out and civil construction methods

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
