Section Engineer / Sub-Agent – Civil Engineering & Infrastructure
Location: Central Scotland (Travel Required)
Salary: £42,500 – £48,000 per annum

We are seeking a proactive Section Engineer / Sub-Agent to join a well-established contractor specialising in civil engineering, infrastructure, and construction projects across Central Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with on-site experience to manage sections of complex projects, ensuring delivery to schedule, budget, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate on-site construction activities across multiple project sites.

  • Act as a Sub-Agent, liaising between the main contractor, subcontractors, and clients.

  • Monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance across assigned sections.

  • Assist in preparing site reports, progress updates, and daily records.

  • Support the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and resource management.

  • Ensure all works comply with contract specifications, industry standards, and health & safety regulations.

  • Identify and resolve site issues proactively to minimise delays and costs.

Requirements:

  • Relevant civil engineering or construction qualification (HNC, HND, or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction site management.

  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality compliance.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to travel across Central Scotland and manage multiple site responsibilities.
