Section Engineer / Sub-Agent – Civil Engineering & Infrastructure
Location: Central Scotland (Travel Required)
Salary: £42,500 – £48,000 per annum
We are seeking a proactive Section Engineer / Sub-Agent to join a well-established contractor specialising in civil engineering, infrastructure, and construction projects across Central Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with on-site experience to manage sections of complex projects, ensuring delivery to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate on-site construction activities across multiple project sites.

Act as a Sub-Agent, liaising between the main contractor, subcontractors, and clients.

Monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance across assigned sections.

Assist in preparing site reports, progress updates, and daily records.

Support the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and resource management.

Ensure all works comply with contract specifications, industry standards, and health & safety regulations.

Identify and resolve site issues proactively to minimise delays and costs.
Requirements:

Relevant civil engineering or construction qualification (HNC, HND, or equivalent).

Proven experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction site management.

Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality compliance.

Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues.

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to travel across Central Scotland and manage multiple site responsibilities.
