We’re recruiting for an established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading business delivering large-scale roads, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects across the UK.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll support the commercial delivery of key civil engineering projects — ensuring robust cost control, contract compliance, and financial performance. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and the wider commercial team, you’ll play a key role in the project’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and management of interim valuations and final accounts.
• Administration of subcontractor payments and agreements.
• Producing accurate cost/value reconciliations and forecasts.
• Managing variations, change control, and project cost tracking.
• Supporting tenders and commercial reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and contractual obligations.

About You

• HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Experience within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Excellent numerical, communication, and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
• Full UK driving licence.
