The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial success of restoration and heritage projects across Scotland. You’ll be responsible for managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and supporting delivery teams to achieve commercial and contractual excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage applications for payment, valuations, and cost reporting cycles

  • Prepare and agree variations, interim valuations, and final accounts

  • Conduct site visits and liaise with project managers and clients

  • Ensure accurate contract administration and documentation control

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and site teams

  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a commercial, quantity surveying, or data management role

  • Strong analytical and numerical ability with keen attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Ability to interpret commercial data and support project reporting

  • Exposure to heritage, construction, or restoration environments preferred
