Project Quantity Surveyor

We are working with a Family-Owned Main Contractor to recruit a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Aberdeen. This is a great opportunity to work on projects up to 20million in both the public and private sectors.

 

Your duties will include:

  • Managing costs and developing projects cost plans.
  • Carrying out commercial activities relating to projects..
  • Working with the Project Manager and Commercial Manager to ensure full understanding of all commercial matters.
  • Liaising with design and operational teams throughout the full project lifecycle..
  • Procurement of subcontractors.
  • Producing valuations and commercial reports, as well as identifying variations.

 

To be successful for this role, you will:

  • Be degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or possess equivalent qualifications. 
  • Ideally you will have experience working with a main contractor in a similar role.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Commercial Contracts.
  • Experience working on a commercial, education, health and residential projects is preferred.  You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a strong working knowledge or Microsoft Office and other IT packages.
