Location: Scotland (Monday – Friday, site-based)

Reporting to: Contracts / Operations Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of civil engineering, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects across Scotland. This is a site-based role, with the successful candidate working away from home Monday to Friday, managing projects from conception through to completion. The role involves full responsibility for project delivery, including programme, budget, quality, health & safety, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities

Take overall responsibility for the planning, delivery, and coordination of civil engineering, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects.

Act as Principal Contractor on site, ensuring all works comply with CDM regulations and statutory requirements.

Develop and manage project programmes, monitoring progress to ensure timely delivery.

Manage budgets, cost control, and financial reporting, including forecasting, valuations, and risk mitigation.

Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, producing and maintaining relevant documentation such as Construction Phase Plans, RAMS, and inspection records.

Coordinate with clients, designers, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and maintain strong working relationships.

Identify risks, technical issues, or delays and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.

Produce regular progress reports for senior management and clients.

Ensure projects are completed in accordance with contractual obligations and client requirements.
Candidate Profile

Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil engineering, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects.

Strong understanding of construction methods, programmes, and project management principles.

Commercially aware, with experience in budget management, cost control, and risk management.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Comfortable working away Monday to Friday across sites in Scotland.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (Powerproject, Primavera P6, or similar).
Qualifications (Desirable)

Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Professional project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM) desirable.

Health & Safety qualifications such as SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator, or similar.
