Are you a commercially driven Managing Quantity Surveyor looking to take the lead on high-profile infrastructure and energy projects? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established national contractor delivering complex transmission and renewable energy schemes across Scotland.
About the Role
You’ll be joining a forward-thinking business that plays a key role in enabling the transition to a low-carbon future. Working within the Transmission and Renewables division, you’ll lead commercial delivery on major overhead line and substation projects up to 400kV.
The role offers a blend of hands-on commercial management and strategic oversight, working closely with project teams to ensure best-in-class performance across cost, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all commercial activity across multiple infrastructure projects

Manage subcontractor packages, valuations, and final accounts

Prepare and present accurate claims, reports, and forecasts

Identify and manage project risks and opportunities

Ensure compliance with NEC3/4 contracts and company policies

Collaborate with engineering, planning, and finance teams to ensure successful project delivery
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Managing QS in infrastructure, utilities, or energy projects

Strong working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts

Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying (or related discipline)

Full UK driving licence
