Managing Estimator
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our clients team based in East Kilbride. This is a key role supporting the delivery of high-quality civil infrastructure projects across Scotland. The successful candidate will be involved in the full lifecycle of tendering for major works in sectors such as rail, highways, and ports.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil engineering tenders.

Analyse technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine project scope.

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and negotiate pricing.

Assess project risks, opportunities, and identify value engineering solutions.

Collaborate with project and operational teams to ensure buildable, deliverable estimates.

Attend and contribute to client meetings, presentations, and bid reviews when required.
Requirements

Demonstrable experience as an Estimator within civil engineering—preferably in rail, highways, or marine/port infrastructure.

Solid understanding of NEC contracts and contemporary construction techniques.

Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.

Proficiency in estimating tools (such as Candy, Causeway, or similar), along with Microsoft Office.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to strict deadlines.

A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
