About the Role
The Estimator will take ownership of tender management, from enquiry through to handover, working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure accurate and competitive project pricing. This is a key role within a company that values innovation, teamwork, and continual improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Manage inbound tender enquiries and client relationships

Review project scopes, drawings, and specifications

Conduct quantity take-offs and request supplier quotations

Prepare and submit detailed estimates and tender submissions

Analyse costs, materials, and market conditions to ensure competitive pricing

Support project handovers and pre-start activities for secured contracts

Maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout the bid process
Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in estimating, tendering, or quantity surveying within groundworks or civil engineering
-
Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and cost structures
-
Proficient in take-off software (e.g. Bluebeam or CAD)
-
Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications
-
Excellent supplier negotiation and liaison skills
-
Strong organisational and time management skills
-
Experience in soft landscaping, hard landscaping, or fencing projects is advantageous
