A new opportunity to the market to join a highly successful small to medium sized Consultancy as a Structural Engineer in West of Scotland. The business has a full pipeline of various building projects on their books. They have won one of the most prestigious housing projects on the market which has a project lifespan of over 4 years based in Glasgow. They have been thriving in business for decades and pride themselves on key client relationships they have built over the years. The company has won multiple awards throughout the years across their UK based branches with the view of Glasgow following suit over the coming years. Within the last 12 months they have shown steady growth as they have continued to win high end jobs. They have a huge mix of residential based projects that you will be immediately be involved in when joining the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and check design calculations of all structural elements
  • Check drawings and preparation of technical specifications
  • Assist in dealing with clients and managing a project
  • Carry out structural surveys/assessments
  • Detailed design
  • Site inspections
  • Represent the business as an experienced member of staff

Note: The responsibilities will change dependent on your experience but please use the above as a market
 

Key skills:

  • Minimum BSc/BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering (or a directly related course)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Structural Engineer (ideally within a consultancy environment)
  • Experienced in designing housing new build projects would be highly sought after but not essential
  • Be able to assist and integrate within a team environment
