A unique opportunity to the market to join one of the most successful small to medium sized Consultancies as a Structural Engineer in Glasgow. As a Structural Engineer you will have a full pipeline of various building projects on your books up to £50,000,000 in value.They have been thriving in business for decades and pride themselves on key client relationships they have built over the years. The company has been regarded as one of Scotlands’ flagship consultancies for many years, within the last two years they have shown steady growth and continued to provide a first class service to their long standing list of clients.


They operate as a solid team of 35 technically strong staff which they look to add to due the persistent increase in workload.


Projects - There is a huge range of general building projects within multiple sectors using all materials on project within commercial, residential, education, healthcare and industrial sectors. They have a successful, proven internal Chartership route if this is an avenue you would like support in which has led to excellent staff retention over many years.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and check design calculations of all structural elements
  • Check drawings and preparation of technical specifications
  • Assist in dealing with clients and managing a project
  • Carry out structural surveys/assessments
  • Site inspections
  • Represent the business as an experienced member of staff

Note: The responsibilities will change dependant on your experience but please use the above as a minimum
 

Key skills:

  • Minimum BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering (or a directly related course)
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Structural Engineer (ideally within a consultancy environment)
  • Experienced in designing a variety of projects using multiple materials
  • Be able to assist and integrate within a team environment
