Edinburgh £22m bridge project
The new contractor for alterations to North Bridge in Edinburgh will be appointed this month.
The £22m Edinburgh Council project will start in November and last a year.
The scheme includes concrete repairs, steelwork repairs, repairs to cast iron facades, repainting of steelwork and cast iron, permanent removal of the soffit section of facades and redundant timbers to allow repairs to steelwork hidden behind to be undertaken; and replacement of corroded downpipes.
Key consultants include Currie and Brown (quantity surveyors).

£100m runway works project
Applications to tender for a £100m runway works project have been invited.
A contractor is wanted at Lossiemouth Airfields Runway Works by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation.
The scheme includes construction work for airfields, runways and manoeuvring surfaces. It will start in May next year and last 18 months.

£12m Stirling sports centre project
Tenders have been returned for a £12m Stirling sports centre project.
The scheme is at the Gannochy Sports Centre at the University of Stirling. It comprises partial demolition of sports facility and construction of a new three storey building providing a new main entrance, fitness suite and studios, cafe and changing rooms.
There is also a court sports hall and performance hall with support accommodation, new landscaped public realm, bus/drop off lay-by and parking area.
The associated works include sewer systems, landscaping, cable laying, infrastructure and enabling works. The project will start in December and last 19 months.
Key consultants include Harley Haddow & Partners (mechanical and electrical consultant), Brownriggs (quantity surveyor) and Woolgar Hunter (structural consultant).

£16m Glasgow city centre hotel
Tenders have been returned for a £16m Glasgow city centre hotel.
The new Yotel Westergate on Argyle Street is led by clients Starwood Capital Group and CGIS (Westergate) Ltd.
The scheme comprises the change of use from office to hotel with associated external alterations. It will start in October and last two years.
Key consultants include Deacon & Jones (quantity surveyor), Sandy Brown Associates (acoustic consultant) and RSP Consulting Engineers (Mech & Elec Consultant).

80 residential units: tenders invited
Tenders have invited for the construction on 80 residential units in Bishopton.
The £9.85m Renfrewshire Council project at Dargavel Village will start in July and last 18 months.
